print A German national was picked up by Tamil Nadu Police in Nagercoil for allegedly assisting the protests against the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant and deported from the country in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Sonnteg Reiner Hermann (49) was picked up on Monday night in Nagercoil by a section of Q branch police officials monitoring the anti-KNPP protests after they were alerted by central intelligence agencies, police sources said.

Hermann was brought to Chennai on Monday night for interrogation and was deported from the country from the international air terminus at around 1am, they said.
